IBF (いーべーえふ, Ii Bee Efu) is a secret facility managed by Leiblich Pharmaceutical located 119 meters below sea level, and connected to LeMU through HIMMEL. "IBF" stands for "Institute für Biologische Forschung", which means "Institute for Biological Research" in German. It was built to research the microorganisms that living in the hydrothermal vents on the bottom of the ocean, for military purposes. The pressure inside IBF is of 12.5 bar.
In 2017, a Tief Blau outbreak caused the scientists studying it to panic and one (or possibly more) of them accidentally left through LeMU ignoring, causing a pression shift and dooming the theme park to implode in seven days.
On May 6, 2017 Takeshi Kuranari, Tsugumi Komachi, You Tanaka, Ryogo Kaburaki and Coco Yagami escaped from LeMU to IBF. On May 7th You and Ryogo were brought to the surface by a rescue team, while Tsugumi Komachi managed to flee with a submarine. In the true ending, Takeshi and Coco fell into a cryogenic sleep in the pods until May 7, 2034.
Both Takeshi Yagami and Yoichi Tanaka worked there.
